The Art of Running Away: Why Aikido Might Not Help You in a Pub Brawl (But Kicking Someone in the Balls Might)

Well, first of all, if you're in a pub and someone is trying to pick a fight with you, the last thing you want to do is start doing Aikido moves on them. You'll end up looking like a dancing swan, and your attacker will likely laugh at you before punching you in the face.

On the other hand, boxing and Muay Thai are perfect for pub fights because they teach you how to throw hard punches and kick people in the shins. And if you really want to win a fight, there's nothing like a good old-fashioned kick in the balls.

Kyokushin karate is also a great option because it teaches you how to take a hit and keep fighting. Plus, if you can do a high kick and scream loudly while doing it, you're guaranteed to intimidate your opponent.

As for screaming loudly, it's an effective tactic because it can startle your attacker and give you a few extra seconds to make your escape. And looking angry is always a good idea because it makes you appear more confident and less vulnerable.

Now, as for why Aikido isn't the best choice, well, it's because Aikido is all about redirecting your opponent's energy and using their momentum against them. It's great in theory, but in practice, it's not very effective in a real-life fight. Unless your attacker happens to be a slow-moving, predictable robot, Aikido is probably not going to be much help.

So, in conclusion, if you find yourself in a pub fight, remember: kick 'em in the balls, scream loudly, and look angry. And if you happen to know some boxing or Muay Thai moves, that's even better.
